hello thought i would just update this blog a bit on what has been going on in our secthree year so when we look back in sec four, this whole blog thing is going to be so cute.

HAHAHA in fact I find us mildly weird and quite cute already to have started a spiritoots blog in secone. batchmates <33

#1: farewell 2008. first song-its all about you sung properly with costumes- tanktop shorts and different coloured socks with a jackett. part of farewell-ing the secfour seniors. copied fiona and kayleigh in getting choir' attention in the song. many of us cried cos our alternate batch was gonna leave D: practiced kinda hard for this- even during chalett!

#2: christmas carols... busking. didnt busk in the end cos the days werent convenient (christmas day itself!) so the poor secfours had to busk for more than five days at jacksplace by themselves aww, and they coped some of the scores we did up like gracek's and carly's

#3: singing for the secones to get them to join rgchoirrr sometime january/ december or sth. Sang Look to this day and te queiro I think. quite cool. Also I remember vaguely ms loo getting the prefects to bring the secones to the choir room as part of cca orientation look around so we could practice and sing to them (HOW COOL WAS THAT!)

#4: THE WIN. January 9. first public performance at mindef at sentosa. did it with the sec fours. we cheated though cos we couldnt practice properly in time. just sang we go together and soleram methinks. hahah enting and stef played the piano. FOOD DINNER was really good, chicken rice and pasta in this glassy classy place(:

#5: Speech dayy. sang school song hahahhaa waitt i think that was in 2008 when the seniors received their prizes. cant rmb. grrr

#6: founders day- practised happy birthdayyy and school song. but in the end we only sang school song in our hot hot choir costumes D: but but we got dinner (eclairs!) also performed in the hall for old rgs girls- just sang school song. a lot of camwhoring on both days!

WENT TO VCH some time february where we lay on the floor and rested and listened to ave on the piano and where we didnt really sound very good ): quite discouraging.

JSLs announced. hm, congrats stef pris enting azura. all those who didnt become jsl its okayy AT LEAST WE GOT IN FOR SYF (: and jsl isnt everything, really.

NOWWW: sundayy 29 MAR. our whole batch got into syf yayayayay. ave sounded really good after ms loo and mr wujie and ms mary tan worked with us. ave's chords are really angelic, word game still needs working on though :/ white horses is better already. i think we're almost there jiayoujiayou. pitch is more stable now too im really happy(:

saturday we had prac from 8.30-1, and we only worked on ave but it was so pretty and nice that none of us complained about staying on one song for so long! I love you batchmates! syf is coming 20 april, be very very excited! (:

starting tomorrow we are gonna have to practise during lunch and recess. GOOD THING. we get to see each other more. :D

oh my goodness I guessed our username and password and I got in the first time I tried hahaha so smart right!
ahh can you believe it we are going to be sec threes in like 10++ days! thats scary, but pretty exhilarating too I guess.
OBS OBS OBS is coming too! Its going to be funn. and dirty and tough and tiring, but fun(:
and right, we need busking pracs soon for next year. aiyo anyway its not like anyone's going to see this. its such a dead blog:/

Our blog is really dead, which is quite sad D: I shall attempt to update though. By the way, do you all want to change the blogskin sometime soon? I'm bored of this one. Maybe we can get something black and pink(:

Chalet was fun, and we definitely managed to bond more as a batch.(: I really got to know almost every one of you more through chalet. When we become sec fours, we should organise a longer camp, and maybe if everyone agrees, we can go overseas, either for a camp or for a competition. That would be quite cool.

heyhey toots.
sorry this post won't sound very uplifting because i am in an extremely bad mood now. but i guess i just want to say to everyone, whether you guys changed your sections or not, that no matter what we're still in rgschoir, and as kayleigh said, the sections we're in are just another name we go by within the choir, but as a whole we're just one big group and i think we shouldn't let the resectioning issue get to us.

for those who have moved a section up i think it's kinda obvious why i guess they wanna expand your range. and for those who moved down think of mich la they wanted her to have anchor right! so cheryl and ariel, chances are that next year you guys'll be back in sop1 and sop2 respectively!

i'll tell you guys something okay. during sectionals like last year, kayleigh was convinced msloo would move me to sop1. but she didn't. know why? mich told me that's because i have a stronger resonance in the mezzo range, and "sop2 needs me". and ariel you have a very nice alto ring. yeah so basically i guess what i'm trying to say is that there's always a reason you're shifted and usually there's something really cool in your voice that you can only discover if you resection.

and because our whole batch is sad on behalf of those who have to move we can see how bonded we all are, and we should be proud of this. the seniors think our batch is super bonded and everything, so we must keep this up and i know we can toots!

kae to end off i shall tell you guys mich's words of wisdom.
"it's not because you can't keep up with the section or when you're not resectioned, it's not because you're too lousy for another section it's more of whether your voice is suited for a part whether you can hit the range whether your current section is inhibiting your growth because you're too stressed to perform/hit notes instead of concentrate on technique development etc."
see, so yup must understand okay!

okay i have to finish now alright so guys stay cheerful okay! anything i'm sure you can talk to any one of us, after all we're such a bonded batch, okay(: i love you guys a lot:D

Hello spiritoots:D Im posting now to prove to Amanda that this blog is definitely NOT going to be dead. Cos all of us will post regularly right? See, Amanda? Haha Im going to try linking up all our batch members' blogs (well those who have blogs) when I have time... (which is like soon I hope:D) Okay, Ariel, and I totally admit I missed school and can you believe it? I actually miss choir and its only been a few days since our last choir prac:o Anyway, I think the sec three-fours (I still want to call them sec threes but I can't anymoreD:) are doing a great great job (right?) The title is quite lame but PUNNY! Because we're Sec Two and Toots, so we're Sec Toots! (My sis thought of it, not me). Anyway, we're now officially seniors! So we must be really nice and show the Sec 1 juniors that choir is SUPER STRONG and encouraging :) I'm sure all of you are feeling excited about school, yeah? Anyway as I'm typing this, it's 41 minutes to new year. Bad girl promises herself to sleep at eleven but obviously it doesn't work out that way =P

Hey Spiritoots!

It's Ariel here :) Glad to see we have a lovely batch blog! Thank you Carly! In about 1 hour 57 mins it's gonna be 2008! And we'll officially be Sec 2s! Isn't that exciting? We must definitely keep this blog alive and not let it die.

And about the busking groups, I'm sure everything will turn out ok in the end. For now let's just concentrate on settling into the new year and not get too stressed ok? But I think maybe to decide the groups we should just approach the people we would like to work with and form small groups of 2-3 people then keep recruiting till we have 7-8 members then we can sort of confirm the groups. Then if there are any problems then we can shift but it will only be minor changes.

But anyway, Happy New Year and have a great Sec 2 year! It's so weird to have Sec 1 juniors come into choir :) But let's be FABULOUS seniors to them ok? And encourage them to get a batch name too! And continue the legacy thru the years to come.

you know i was just thinking how blogs just get ignored after a while and it's quite sad yah. so right, what if we take turns to post on a regular basis, like come up with a roster or something. of course you can post when it's not your turn too la ^^

seriously i'd turn suicidal when i saw the skin.
it's not that its really really disgusting or anything, just that it screams twit. and i have very interesting, and not to mention strong emotions towards twittersxzxzx. uh i hope you don't mind that i changed the skin it's temporary, once again until uhm we can convince mich or someone to make a nice skin for us. but its quite cool there are fifteen thingos including the sun in the picture. anybody want to be the sun? i wanna be the parachuting thingo. the thingos should be called 'toots'. hmmm okay nevermind. yay ccao went well but i didn't get to do booth duty dammit! and i'm still guilty for making carly set up the blog i'm a lazylazylazybadbadbad girl D: sorry! feel free to change anything around :D

ohmaaaaaaan so cool i bet we're the first batch in the history of rgschoir to have a blog okaaaaaaay. we must have a batch outing to eastcoastpark to cycle it's super fun right right grace? today ccao was so cool there were so many people who came for choir compared to usual holiday pracs don't you feel loved when there are a lot of people? we sounded so super duperly good even thought we haven't been practising yah i think fiona and kayleigh are doing a good job. and peiying too with our AHEM technicals.

okay so random my thoughts came in that order.

short post cos it's late and i'm sleepy and i need to sleep so i can wake up tomorrow to go for housecomm meeting at nine TOODLES.
